About the School
Swedish International School of Geneva (SISOG) is a private nonprofit organization situated in Meyrin dedicated to providing high quality education based on the Swedish Pedagogical Approach, in a multilingual and multicultural setting.
SISOG is a dynamic and growing international school, with more than 140 students from different countries.
The school is approved by the Geneva Department of Public Instruction (DIP) and follows a bespoke integrated curriculum based on the Swedish Academic Curriculum and on the PER – Plan d’études Romand (introduced in 2011 in the canton of Geneva).
Through individualized play and project-based learning connected to nature, we empower our students to think critically, build their self-esteem, discover their own potential and develop a love of learning. The school serves a diverse community of students, with a strong emphasis on cultural exchange and global citizenship. SISOG is very committed to keep the Swedish language and connection as well as to overall maintaining strong ties with Sweden, ensuring that students receive an education that not only prepares them for global opportunities but that also marks the values that makes our school unique.
Values
SISOG has 5 guiding values:
Equality - At SISOG, every individual is equally valuable, deserving the same level of respect and opportunity.
Empathy - We believe in finding echoes of another person in ourselves, embracing and acknowledging different perspectives to build deeper connections and understanding.
Commitment - We value the act of binding ourselves to a course of action, following it through with intention and dedication, ensuring that our efforts lead to meaningful outcomes.
Love of learning - We cultivate a positive feeling when acquiring new information and skills, driven by an intrinsic motivation to understand the world and ourselves more deeply.
Community - We are a collective of people organised for the good of the whole, guided by trust, cooperation, and solidarity to create a supportive and unified environment.
